Fly to China today.
Upon arriving at Beijing airport, a China Tour representative will greet you and arrange for your transportation to the hotel, allowing you the first chance to experience China.
Beijing is the capital of China, with population of 17.4 million. We will embark on a full day tour which begins at the Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world with its monuments and buildings situated around the square’s perimeter.
Thereafter we will visit the Forbidden City, Pearl Factory, and Summer Palace whilst enjoying a walk along Lake Kunming.
Today, you’ll visit the Great Wall (Chang Cheng); after that, you will stop at a Jade Museum to learn the history of Jade. In Chinese, jade is pronounced as ‘Yu’, and it has a history in China of at least 4,000 years.
Then, visit the Temple of Heaven, and the Royal holy altar used from the 15th century to the early 20th century.
In the morning, visit Hutongs, alleys formed by lines of siheyuan, traditional courtyard residences, where you can experience the traditional lives of Beijing citizens.
Then, walk along the Wangfujing Street. In the afternoon, take a bullet high-speed train to Xian (about 5-6 hours).
Upon arrival at Xian, the guide will pick you up at the Railway station. Breakfast is on your own.
The highlight of today is the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, which has been called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Nearly 8,000 life-size terra cotta soldiers and horses were buried about 2,000 years ago to protect the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, in the afterlife.
You will then visit the Terra Cotta Army replication factory. Then, visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built during the Tang Dynasty, over 1,300 years ago.
Visit the City Wall of Xian, constructed in 1370 during the Ming Dynasty to completely enclose the city as protection against invaders, as well as Muslim Food Street in the morning.
Then, transfer to railway station to take the bullet train to Luoyang. It takes about 2 hours by train. Upon arrival, the guide will meet you at the railway station and transfer to your hotel.
In the morning, visit the Longmen Grottoes, one of the four most valuable Buddhist cave and rock carvings in China, which was listed as a World Heritage site in November 2000.
Then, visit White Horse Temple, the first Buddhist temple in China, which was known as the cradle of Chinese Buddhism.
After breakfast, visit the Shaolin Temple, known as ‘the Number One Temple under Heaven’, which is famous not only as an important Buddhist temple in China but also as the traditional Shaolin Kung Fu.
After the tour, transfer to Zhengzhou airport to board your flight for your next destination.
