Fly to Shanghai, the country’s most populous city and a global financial hub.
Upon arrival at Shanghai, you’ll be greeted at the airport and then transferred to your hotel.
The highlights of today’s sightseeing tour include the Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai’s Old Street, the colonial-styled Bund, and the Nanjing Road.
The afternoon continues to Shanghai silk factory, and then Shanghai Museum where you will have the opportunity to discover some of China’s priceless pieces of ancient art consisting of bronze, ceramic, jade and calligraphy.
After breakfast, we will drive to visit the Jade Buddha Temple, which houses a 6-foot (1.9 meters) tall jade statue of the Buddha and a Recumbent Buddha.
Both of the Buddha statues are carved out of a single piece of jade whose color is lustrous and spotlessly white. It is a nice site to go whether you are a Buddhist or not; the peaceful and supernatural atmosphere is a welcome experience for most travelers.
Then pay a visit to Xintiandi area before driving to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to check in at your hotel.
A leisurely four-hour cruise down the Lijiang River from Guilin to Yangshuo begins the day. Enjoy the picturesque landscape, surrounded by the hills and bamboo that have inspired countless artists over the centuries.
This afternoon to explore Yangshuo on your own by either renting a bike or taking a walk around Yangshuo’s West Street, a 1,400-year-old street paved with marble.
Your day is free until you are transferred to visit Guilin’s landmark – Elephant Trunk Hill, and the mysterious Reed Flute Cave, a huge cave featuring a walk of about 1,600 feet (500 meters), lined by countless imposing yet beautiful stalactite formations.
Then, visit the South-sea saltwater Pearl Center to experience the Chinese pearl culture. Later, fly to Shanghai.
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to home. Your trip ends.
