Board an international flight bound for Shanghai, eager to begin our China vacation. Shanghai is the biggest city in China and is a global financial hub.
You will be greeted by our Shanghai tour guide and transferred to check-in at your hotel where you are at your leisure to relax and enjoy the evening.
Today’s city tour starts with a visit to the Bund and Cheng Huang Miao, and you will also experience the bustling shopping district of Nanjing Road and People’s Square where you can use your bargaining skills to acquire mementos from your trip.
After that, spend some free time at Shanghai Museum. You can easily spend a few hours to examine its rich and high-quality collection of ancient Chinese bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy, with special exhibits and collection of 120,000 precious works of art, this museum has become one of the most popular in China.
Enjoy free time until you board your flight to Xian.
Xian, known as Chang’an in the old days, was the starting point of the historic Silk Road.
Upon arrival, the guide will meet you at the airport and then transfer you to your hotel.
You will visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum (Bing Ma Yong). It’s known as the 8th miracle in the world.
The entire mausoleum is a cultural treasure vault with large collections of relics.
After the Terra Cotta Army replication factories, visit the 14th-century wall Ancient City Wall, one of the most complete city walls in China and certainly one of the best examples from the Ming dynasty.
Then, stroll around the Muslim Food Street.
After breakfast, visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area, a significant cultural relic in Xian.
Afterward, fly to Xining. Upon arrival, you will be met and escorted to the hotel at Xining.
In the morning, visit Ta’er Monastery, the largest monastery in Qinghai.
After lunch, drive about 3 hours to Lanzhou. Upon arrival, have a nice rest at the hotel.
After breakfast, visit the White Pagoda Park and Waterwheel Garden. Then drive to Liujiaxia Dam where you will board a small boat for a stunning river trip through dramatic scenery to the Bingling Temple Grottoes, one of the five Grottoes in China.
After the tour, drive back to Lanzhou.
After breakfast, drive to Xiahe, which is well known for Labrang Lamasery, one of the six leading Buddhist lamaseries (that is, a monastery of lamas) in China.
Visit the Sangke Grassland flavor and visit with a local Tibetan Family.
In the morning, visit the famous Labrang Lamasery.
Then, drive back to Lanzhou.
After breakfast, drive to Wuwei. Visit the Leitai Tomb of the Han Dynasty, a large tomb built with brick and stone in the later years (186 – 219 CE) of the Eastern Han Dynasty, as well as Wuwei Temple of Literature.
Then drive to Zhangye and transfer to your hotel.
Today’s excursion includes exploring Giant Buddha Temple, one of the major historic sites on the Silk Road, and Wooden Pagoda Temple, which was built during the Northern Zhou Dynasty (557 – 588 CE).
Then drive to Jiayuguan and transfer hotel.
Today you’ll visit Jiayuguan Pass, the western starting point of the Great Wall during Ming Dynasty, followed by visiting Overhanging Great Wall.
Then drive to Dunhuang.
In the morning, experience the desert flavor along with the Echoing-Sand Dune to Crescent Lake by riding your very own camel!
Surrounded by the echoing-sand mountain, the Crescent Lake is a spring in the shape of a half moon, which can be called a natural wonder.
Then, visit Mogao Caves- the World Art Treasure House. It is one of the world’s most important sites of ancient Buddhist culture.
Enjoy free time and then fly to Beijing. Upon arrival, have a nice rest at the hotel.
Beijing is the capital city of China, with population of 17.4 million people.
Your Beijing tour begins at the Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world with its monuments and buildings situated around the square’s perimeter.
Thereafter we will visit the Forbidden City, Pearl Factory, and Summer Palace while enjoying a walk along Lake Kunming.
Today, you’ll visit the Great Wall (Chang Cheng), one of the greatest wonders of the world.
After that, stop at a Jade Museum to learn the history of Jade. In Chinese, jade is pronounced ‘Yu,’ and it has a history in China of at least 4,000 years.
In the afternoon, stroll around the Wangfujing Street.
