At 20:53 of Jan. 26, the high-end train – Silk Road Ningxia starts its debut journey at Ningxia Railway Station, passing through Lvliang area (the west of Shanxi Province) and North China Plain, and reachs Beijing at last.
The Silk Road Ningxia train launched ends the history of none high-end trains in Ningxia and make it possible to reach Beijing in a day. The train is equipped with newest 25T body and contains 14 sections of carriages. All the seats in the train will be changed into sleeper seats in March, 2015. Its capacity reaches up to 3100 pax per day. The whole running time from Ningxia to Beijing is 11 hours 39 minutes. It starts at Yinchuan Train Station at 20:53 and reaches Beijing West Station at 8:32 the next day. From Beijing, it starts 20:04 and gets to Yingchuan at 7:14 the next day.
The train is made as the “Moveable Museum” to display the culture and history of Ningxia according to history time. With the marvelous Silk Road culture, views of northwest China and the featured customs of Hui People, the train presents the amazing, mysterious and charming city to all passengers.
