Jilin Rime
Jilin Province is surrounded by mountains on four sides and the natural landscape is fascinating, especially in winter according to China travel guide. The pristine rime caused by freezing fog in Jilin, together with the mountains and rivers in Guilin, the Yunnan Stone Forest, and the Three Gorges, is are hailed as China’s four major natural wonders.
The best spot for viewing Jilin rime is Rime Island on the lower reaches of Songhua River, which is a little more than 100 feet (35 km) away from downtown Jiling. Rime Island has a reputation for its dense and beautiful rime. In wintertime, weeping willows along the river are decorated with pure white and shinning frost which glitters as wind blows.
Changbai Mountain
There are dozens of hot springs on Changbai Mountain which have the same water temperature and quality all year round. Since the spring’s water contains hydrogen sulfide and micro-elements, it’s referred to as “sacred water.”
Besides, Changbaishan (“Changbai Mountain”) is covered by dense, primeval forests, both sides of the road are lined with ancient pines and cypresses. Strolling among the ancient trees, visitors can enjoy the natural oxygen bar to breath in the fresh air here. At the foot of Changbai mountain are many Korean villages, Jiling being near the Korean border. You might as well go inside to experience traditional Korean culture that remain to this day.
Yunnan
January is a relatively quiet season for Lijiang Ancient Town which is situated on the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, waiting quietly for the coming of tourist season in the spring. Rich tourist resources make visitors linger on without any thought of leaving.
