South Lake Park

Located in the southwest of Changchun City, the South Lake park with an area of 220 hectares is the largest urban park in the northeast China and second largest in China at large – only second to the Summer Palace in Beijing. With clear lake, rows of willows, and ancient bridges and pavilions, the South Lake Park is more beautiful than Jiangnan (area of south bank of Yangtze River). In midsummer and early autumn, some activities like lantern show and Folk Custom Exhibition are held in the park. In winter, various kinds of activities related with snow attracts many tourists.

There is a beautiful isle in the center where you can hear the sound of nature like birds, wind, trees… Trees and shrubs covers 50 percent of the park including coniferous trees, broad-leaved trees and fruit trees, fragrant flowers.

ll in all, the park is a fantastic place for people to go for a walk, have a picnic, catch some sun during the weekend or your Changchun travel.
