Jingyuetan National Forest Park

Situated 7.5 miles (12 kilometers) southeast of Changchun city, Jingyuetan National Forest Park in Jilin is characterized by green mountains, crystal waters, fresh air, comfortable climate and forest. The park takes on different beautiful scenes in each of the four seasons. There are over 30 kinds of trees in the man-made forest like pinus koraiensis, lodgepole pines, pinus sylvestris var, larches, etc. Jingyuetan National Forest Park is regarded as “the first artificial forest in Asia”. The scenic area is composed of Jingyuetan National Key Scenic Spot, Jingyuetan National Park and Jingyuetan Tourist and Vacation Area.

Jingyuetan Lake, a crescent lake, is more than 4 miles (7 kilometers) long and half a mile (1 kilometer) wide. Its water is crystal clear and the small fish swimming in the lake can be seen from the lake bank.

The North Putuo Temple

The quaint temple, built in 1996, is one of the most famous temples in northeast China. Situated on the north bank of Jingyuetan Lake, North Putuo Temple attracts many worshipers, especially during temple fairs.

Jingyuetan Sand Bath Beach

Located on the northwest bank of Jingyuetan Lake, the beach, the largest artificial beach in Jilin, covers an area of almost 11,000 square feet (10 thousand square meters). The beach can accommodate about 3,000 tourists. Visitors can relax in Korean-style tents and taste the delicious fish from Jingyuetan Lake after a long day of playing and boating on the water. Besides, visitors can have fun in the Water Amusement Park where 18 unique bridges were built.

Christmas Paradise

Christmas Paradise is the second largest park known as the “Hometown of Santa Claus”. Filled with European-style buildings and images of cartoon characters, Christmas Paradise is the best place to experience the atmosphere of European Christmas Eve. The deer park, covering over 7 acres (30,000 square meters), features thousands of domesticated  sika deer and reindeer.

Natural Oxygen Bar-forest Bathing Spot

Natural Oxygen Bar-forest Bathing Spot was opened to the public in 1999. It has received tens of thousands of tourist from China and abroad since its opening. The percentage of oxygen in the air is high here, hence the name. It is the home of more than 60 kinds of birds, 460 types of insects, and some endangered species.

Siberian Tiger Park

The Siberian Tiber is the largest of all tigers, mainly living in Siberia and northeastern China. Siberian tigers are very active during cold season and play all day long in the snow. In Jingyuetan National Forest Park, tourists can choose Siberian Tiger Park to see rare Siberian tigers, as well as other rare wild animals such as bears, sika deer, red-crowned cranes, and so on.
