Located on Yangtze River 1st Road, Yuzhong district of Chongqing, Goose Neck Park is the first imperial garden built in Chongqing, which is a 3A national tourist sites in Chongqing.
Goose Neck Park is perched on the long precipitous slope where Yangtze River and Jialing River cross from north to south. The park is just like the neck of goose, hence the name. Goose Neck Park backs the “Mountain City” and nestles on Yangtze River and Jialing River. Standing on the Goose Neck Park and watching westwards, visitors could capture the steepness, magnificence, broadness and picturesqueness of the park.
When visiting the Goose Neck Park, the lofty Lansheng Pavilion, also known as Two River Pavilion, should not be missed. Standing on the pavilion, visitors could have a bird’s eye view of the park and command the breathtaking scenery of the two rivers. Appreciating the lighten seascape in the night is another highlight of the Goose Neck Park. The climate of Goose Neck Park is distinctive in four seasons, while the best time to visit the Goose Neck Park is in summer and autumn because it is cool during this period.
