Itinerary

Day 1Hometown - Shanghai

Fly to Shanghai, the country’s biggest city and a global financial hub.

Day 2Arrive in Shanghai

Upon arrival at Shanghai, you’ll be greeted at the airport and then transferred to your hotel.

Day 3Shanghai (Breakfast, Lunch)

The highlights of today’s sightseeing tour include the Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai’s old Street, the colonial-styled Bund, and the Nanjing Road.

The afternoon continues to Shanghai silk factory, and then Shanghai Museum where you have the opportunity to discover some of China’s priceless pieces of ancient art consisting of bronze, ceramic, jade and calligraphy.

Day 4Shanghai - Zhouzhuang - Suzhou (Breakfast, Lunch)

After breakfast, drive to Zhouzhuang, the No.1 water town of the country. Zhouzhuang was first built by the King of Wu during the Spring and Autumn period (770 – 476 BCE). It is noted for its profound cultural background, the well preserved ancient residential houses, the elegant watery views and the unique local traditions.

Here you will visit Shen Family Residents, Zhang Family Residents and the twin bridges. Then drive to Suzhou.

Day 5Suzhou – Hangzhou (Breakfast, Lunch)

Welcome to Suzhou, the “city of gardens”!

The classical gardens in Suzhou have been added UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1997 and 2000. Today you will visit the Lingering Garden (Liu Yuan), one of the four great gardens in China.

Then we will explore The Silk Spinning Factory, where you can enjoy a silk fashion show. Finally, we will take a boat ride on the Grand Canal before taking a high speed train to Hangzhou.

Upon arrival, you will be met and transfer to check in at the hotel.

Day 6Hangzhou - Shanghai (Breakfast, Lunch)

This morning you will visit Lingyin Temple, which literally translates to “Temple of the Soul’s Retreat.”

The monastery was founded in 328 CE during the Eastern Jin Dynasty by a monk named Hui Li, who originally came from India. It is one of the largest and wealthiest Buddhist temples in China, and contains numerous pagodas and Buddhist grottoes and also features a large number of grottoes and religious rock carvings, the most famous of which is the Feilai Feng.

Then take a leisurely boat ride on West Lake, one of the most beautiful scenic spots in Hangzhou. Here you’ll see the ethereal beauty of Hangzhou’s willow-draped islands, and admire the Su Causeway.

Stop for a taste of China’s most famous green tea – Dragon Well Tea at the Longjing Green Tea village. Finally transfer to the railway station for a high-speed train to Shanghai. Your Shanghai guide will meet you upon your arrival.

Day 7Shanghai - Hometown (Breakfast)
