Ming Tomb, the underground mausoleum of Emperor Wan Li, is one of the thirteen imperial tombs of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Emperor Wan Li (1573-1620) ordered the construction of his own tomb when he was 22 and it took six years to complete the construction which cost about two year's land taxes of the entire empire. The Emperor gave a party in his own funeral chamber, so the chronicles say, to mark its completion, and thirty years later he was buried in it amid a splendid ceremony. (Lunch included).

Itinerary:
Our excellent tour guide will be await at your hotel around 8:00am. First drive to the Underground Palace (Dingling, one of the 13 Ming Dynasty Tombs complex). From the Yongle Emperor onwards, 13 Ming Dynasty Emperors were buried in this area. You will visit Dingling, the tomb of the Wanli Emperor, which is the only one of the Ming Dynasty Tombs to have been excavated. After lunch, head to the Badaling Great Wall, which takes about 40 minutes. Badaling section is the most famous and best-preserved wall. It lies 100 KM away at the northwest of Beijing. If you want to get to the highest point and have a bird eye's view of this section of the great wall, cable car is a good choice (optional). Visit Bona Jade Factory and learn about the stone carving art in China. After that, we'll head back to your fabulous hotel in downtown Beijing.
