Yangmei Old Town is the best-preserved building complex constructed during the Ming and Qing dynasties in Guangxi province. Yangmei Old Town is located at the lower reaches of the Zuojiang River and is 30-plus kilometers away from downtown Nanning, enjoying convenient transportation by both land and water. Travelers can easily spend a couple of hours wandering the cobbled streets and through the historic buildings.
Yangmei Old Town was built during the Song Dynasty (960 – 1279) and was a famous trading post at that time. There is an ancient dwelling 300 years old in this town, which has witnessed the town’s transform over the years. The old town is embraced by blue waters, green mountains, and lush trees all year round. The cobblestone paths zigzags far away and eventually gets lost in the horizon. It is really a great way for travelers to escape from the bustling world and refresh their souls.

How to get there: Take the shuttle bus between Nanning and Yangmei at 198, Huaqing Road. The tourist bus is launched from Nanning at 9:00 and 11:00, charging CNY10 and takes 1.5 hours for one way. The bus gets back to Nanning is launched 14:00 and 16:00 respectively.
