Detian Waterfall is located in Shuolong Town, Xinxian County in Guangxi Autonomous Region, the southwest frontier between Vietnam and China. As a National Scenic Area spanning between China and Vietnam, Detian Waterfall is the fourth largest transnational waterfall in the world after Iguassu Waterfall between Brazil and Argentina, Victoria Waterfall between Zambia and Zimbabwe, and Niagara Falls between America and Canada. Detian Waterfall is the largest transnational waterfall in Asia and is absolutely sublime. There are the surrounding karst peaks and the added buzz of being on the Vietnamese border.
Originated from the Guichun River in Jingxi county of Guangxi province, Detian Waterfall flows from Vietnam and back to Guangxi, cascading down from the cliff in Detian Village in Daxin County of Guangxi, hence the name Detian Waterfall. Detian Waterfall is absolutely magnificent and breathtaking, no matter in spring, summer, autumn or winter, it enjoys its unique charm all the time. The water drops more than 130 feet (40 meters) in three stages, creating an elegant collection of cascades of small pools across a total width of over 650 feet (200 meters). Riding on a bamboo raft on the pool is highly recommended, which would take you right up to the spray.
