For instance, the O-shaped route with Harbin as it s centre; the K shaped route connecting Mudanjiang, Jiamusi, Yichun, Heihe and Greater Xing'an Mountains with Daqing and Qiqihar; the L-shaped route linking all tourist attractions together along the China-Russia border river. On the basis of the special tours developed over the previous years, a series of brand-new forms of tourist activities have emerged today to meet the different demand of tourists.

With the ecological tour as key product, they are the city sightseeing tour, border tour and ethnic culture tour designed to make all tourists enjoy the exotic as well as the beauty of great nature.

Heilongjiang Climate
Heilongjiang Province has a long and severe winter and a short summer, the average annual temperature between -6ºC and -4ºC. The average temperature of January, the coldest month of the year, is between -32ºC and -17ºC, while that of July, the hottest month, 16ºC to -23ºC. The annual frost-free period lasts from three to four month or longer. The annual precipitation 250-700mm, mostly concentrated in June through August.

A Brief History of Heilongjiang
Heilongjiang was under the administration of Lingbei and Liaoyang Xingzhongshu Province during China's Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) and belonged to the Nuzen (Nuchen) nationality in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The Province of Heilongjiang was set up in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and has remained so until today.

Large in area and rich in natural resources, Heilongjiang has a vast expanse of fertile land. As is commonly known, "half of its area is covered by mountains, one tenth by water, one tenth by grassland and three-tenths by arable land". In the old days, however, Heilongjiang was an uninhabited wilderness with abundant untapped resources. The Imperial Government of the Qing and later the Japanese aggressors sent in settlers and troops to develop the area but ended up in failure. Over the years, Heilongjiang Province was known as "the Vast Wilderness of the North". After the defeat of Japanese imperialism, the people of Heilongjiang started to rebuild their province upon the ruins brought by the war.

Heilongjiang has undergone tremendous changes since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949. Several million hectares of farmland have been opened in the vast wilderness.  Oilfield, many forestry towns, modern transportation network consisting of railway and highways has been built. Former "the Vast Wilderness of the North" has been turned into an important industrial and agricultural base of China.
