Reservation & Cancellation
Reservation:
Please bring valid travel documents to our offices through North
America or your travel agency for booking.
Deposit:
$300 deposit per person is required when making reservation. In
the event that the deposit does not reach us within 10 days after
the booking is made, we assume that you no longer wish to travel
with us and we will release any arrangements reserved for you.
The booking becomes a Contract at the time you put deposit.
Final Payment:
Final payment must be received no later than 50 days prior to
departure. If Chinatour.com doesn’t receive your final payment
50 days before departure, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation
and charge cancellation fees accordingly. If the booking
is made less than 50 days before departure, full amount should be
paid when booking.
Amendments:
A $25 handling fee per change per person applies to any change
in air/land arrangements after the booking is confirmed. Once
documents/tickets are issued, any change of the booking is considered
as cancellation, and then Cancellation Policies apply.
Cancellation:
Cancellation Notice in letter or fax must be received by Chinatour.
com. The following cancellation fee applies:
·45 or more days prior to departure: $200 per person will be assessed.
·30-44 days prior to departure: $400 per person will be assessed.
·14-29 days prior to departure: $600 per person will be assessed.
·4-13 days prior to departure: $1000 per person will be assessed.
·Less than 3 days or nonappearance: 100% of total charge.
Besides the cancellation fee from Chinatour.com, Penalties from
Airlines or Train Companies apply if air or train tickets are issued.
Tour Fare Includes:
Travel Accident Insurance Plan: Chinatour.com provides full
coverage of Travel Accidental Insurance within Mainland China
to customers at no additional charge.
It is important for your self-interest and protection to make certain
you have adequate insurance protection against all eventualities
throughout your trip, we strongly recommend you to purchase
necessary additional protection plan, which includes ‘Trip
cancellation and Interruption, Baggage Loss, Travel Documents
Loss, Baggage Delay, Medical Expense, Emergency Medical
Transportation, Accidental Death & Dismemberment’. Chinatour.
com provides ‘Cruise, Tour & Travel Protection Plan’ which
covers ‘Medical Expense, Emergency Medical Transportation’ to
customers who made full payment 60 days prior to departure at
no additional charges.
Air Ticket: A round trip economy class cabin is included with the
tour for passengers departing from San Francisco, Los Angeles
in USA, or Vancouver in Canada to Beijing, Shanghai or Hong
Kong. Please call our representative to upgrade your air ticket to
business class at special rate. We use United Airlines, Air China,
China Eastern Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways and other major
airlines. Fuel Sur-charges are included in air packages.
Hotel Accommodation: Tour fare is based on two adults sharing
one twin-bed-room; Single supplement applies for travelers
use single room. Please notify travel agent your needs
when booking. Chinatour.com will use hotels listed in brochure.
We reserve the right to substitute hotels in similar or
higher class if hotels listed in brochure are not available.
It’s our pleasure to help find some one to share room with you.
Meals: Three meals daily will be provided unless specified. Buffet
breakfast is provided in hotel, lunch and dinner in Chinese
style are provided in local restaurants licensed by Chinese National
Tourist Administration.
Sightseeing: Sightseeing program is executed according to itinerary.
Chinatour.com reserves the right to change itinerary for the
reason of weather, fire, strikes, war, flight schedule adjustment or
cancel, safety issue, political reason, custom regulations, natural
disasters and others.
Admission/Entrance Fee: All necessary main entrance fee for the
programs or places mentioned in the itinerary will be included.
non entrance fees are refundable.
Tour Fare Does Not Include:
-Airport Tax, and other Fees.
-Any personal charges, such as phone bills, laundry, Postage,
baggage over- weight charge, insurance, beverages, water, etc.
-Fee for extended stay.
-Tips for tour leader, tour guides, driver, bellman, etc.
-Chinese Visa Processing Fee, Passport Application or Re-new Fee.
-Round trip air fares from your hometown to gateway city.
-Any other charges caused by the acts of God, natural disasters,
fires, weather, governmental and local authority’s orders, political
change, strikes, war, riots, quarantine, custom regulations,
damages or injury caused by the accident beyond the responsibilities
of travel agents and curred due to the tourist action violating
the law.
-Any items not listed in the itinerary.
Conditions
All tour prices are in US dollars and are based on tariff and rates
of currency exchange in effect at the time of printing ($1= ¥6.60).
These rates are subject to change as deemed necessary and fair by
Chinatour.com (excludes those who paid in full).
When the total number of tour members falls below ten persons,
Chinatour.com reserves the right to cancel the tour 30 days prior
to departure. Liability is limited to full refund of money received
by Chinatour.com.
All customers’ passports must be valid for at least 7 months
for traveling to foreign countries. For non-US passports, please
consult with your travel agent for details. Chinatour.com is not
responsible for any rejection of entry by immigration and custom
officials, even if the tour participant holds valid passport and
proper visas. Tours costs cannot be refund or forwarded.
If the services included in the tour can not be supplied or there
are changes in an itinerary for reasons beyond the control of Chinatour.
com, the expense will be payable by tour participants. The
tour participant agrees that neither Chinatour.com nor its affiliates
shall be liable for changes of tour schedules, delay, damages,
loss, robbery, fraud, violence, sickness, and injury caused by the
acts of God, natural disasters, fires, governmental and local authority’s
orders, a political change, strikes, war, riots, quarantine,
and custom regulations, also to the damages caused by the accident
beyond the responsibilities of travel agents and incurred due
to the tourists action violating the law.
Baggage allowance for transpacific flight is two pieces per person
for checked baggage with combined total dimension not exceeding
106 inches provided neither one exceeds 62 inches nor 50 lb.
Baggage allowance in China to one piece only and not to exceed
44 lb. Carry on baggage is limited to one piece with combined
total dimension not exceeding 45 inches. Excess baggage charge
and insurance is at owner’s responsibility. We strongly recommend
our clients check in one baggage each person.
For children under 11, sharing bed with 2 adults and do not ask
for a roll away bed in the same room, they will be charge at
75% of adult fare. If they need the third bed in parents’ room,
they will be charge 90% of the adult fare. For children 12 and
over, and adult using roll away bed, they will be charged at the
regular adult price.
Although Chinatour.com will be happy to assist you with any
shopping needs, but will not be responsible for price, quality, and
service of any goods purchased during the tour.
Chinatour.com reserves the right to accept or reject any person as
a tour participant, to expel any tour participant from the tour, to
make changes in the itinerary whenever Chinatour.com deems it
necessary for the interest, the comfort, convenience, or safety of
the tour participants, or to cancel a tour at any time.
All tour participants must possess physical or mental conditions
good enough for traveling. They must be responsible for their
own health conditions. In the event that the tour participants
have serious illness, they must provide valid health documents
issued by a professional doctor to prove that they are fit for travel.
Chinatour.com will not undertake any legal obligation in participants’
health conditions.
The carriers, hotels and other suppliers providing tour services
are independent contractors and are not agents, employees, or
servants of, or joint ventures with Chinatour.com or its affiliates.
All certificates and travel documents for tour services issued by
Chinatour.com are subject to the terms and conditions specified
by the suppliers and to the laws of the countries in which the services
are supplied.
Responsibility
Chinatour.com, as tour operator, acts only as agent. All travel arrangements
included in this trip are made on participant’s behalf
upon express condition that neither Chinatour.com nor its agents
shall be liable or responsible in the absence of its or their negligence
for any direct, indirect, consequential, or irregularity of
any kind which may be accessional by reason of any act or omission
of any person or entity, including without limitation, any act
of negligence or breach of contract of any third party such as
an airline, train, motor coach, private car, cruise vessel, boat, or
any other conveyance, hotel, sightseeing provider, local ground
handler, etc., which is to or does supply any goods or services for
this trip. Participant understands that Chinatour.com neither owns
nor operates such third party suppliers and accordingly agrees to
seek remedies directly and only with those suppliers and nor hold
Chinatour.com responsible for their acts, omission or commission.
Without their limiting the foregoing, Chinatour.com and its
agents are not responsible for any losses or expenses due to delay
or changes of schedule, overbooking of accommodations, default
of any third parties, sickness, weather, strike, acts of God, acts of
terrorism, force majeure, acts of government’s civil disturbances,
war, quarantine, customs regulations, epidemics, criminal activity
or for any other cause beyond its control. All such losses or
expenses have to be paid for by the participant.
Chinatour.com accepts no responsibility for value, reliability,
quality or authenticity of any goods purchased while on tour or
for any mailing, freight or shipping arrangements.
Chinatour.com reserves the right to decline to accept, or retain
any person as tour participant, should such person’s health, mental
condition, physical infirmity or general deportment impede
the operation of the tour or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of
other tour participant.
Chinatour.com reserves the right to substitute hotels, and alter
the itinerary, withdraw any tour and make any desirable alteration
for the convenience of the operation of tours. Chinatour.com
reserves the right to cancel the tour prior to departure for any
reason. Liability for such cancellation is limited to full refund
of money received by Chinatour.com and this will constitute full
settlement with the tour member.
All tour fares shown, except in China, are based on the present
value of foreign currencies in relation to the US dollars in
effect on Jan. 01, 2011, and in current tariffs on the same date
and are subject to change. In China, costs are quoted by Chinatour.
com home office in US dollars. However, the Chinatour.
com home office reserves the rights alter or adjust its costs. In
the event that Chinatour.com home office increases the cost of
any service within China, tour fares are subject to adjustment.
The right is reserved to cancel the tour prior to departure for any
reason. In such case, a full refund of all payment will constitute a
full settlement with the participant. The Chinatour.com home office
has sole and exclusive control over the operation of all tours
in China. The Chinatour.com home office reserves the right to
make alterations or adjustments in the itinerary as to destinations,
transportation, accommodations and all other services. Neither
Chinatour.com nor any subsidiary or affiliate of Chinatour.com
shall be responsible for any such alterations made by Chinatour.
com home office.
Baggage is carried at owner risk and baggage insurance is recommended.
Chinatour.com is not responsible for typographical
or printing errors or omissions in this brochure. Chinatour.com
accepts no responsibility for cost, which may occur as result
of a participant failing to secure adequate insurance coverage,
which coverage is highly recommended. Generally, your health
insurance does not cover expenses outside the USA/Canada. Chinatour.
com is not responsible for participant’s visa or passport
requirements, will not make any refund of unused services, or
reimbursement of any additional expenditure if a participant is
denied entry to a country for this or any other reason.
The general conditions under which you agree to utilize the services
of Chinatour.com may not be amended in any way, except
in writing, by an authorized officer of Chinatour.com By utilizing
the services of Chinatour.com you agree that the exclusive venue
for all claims shall be the County of San Francisco, State of California,
and such claims shall be determined according to the laws
and jurisdiction of the state of California.
The issuance of tickets and vouchers shall be deemed to be consent
to the above conditions and to these terms and conditions.
