Day 1: Hometown to Beijing (In-flight Meal)

Day 2: Arrive in Beijing (In-flight Meal)
Upon you arriving at Beijing airport, the guide will take our greetings to you and then transfer you to the luxury hotel. During the 12 days trip to China, you’ll enjoy the classic tour in Beijing and Xian, fascinating tour in Yangtze River and amazing tour in Shanghai.

Day 3: Explore Beijing
The classic Beijing tour begins with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in center of Beijing. Tiananmen Square enjoys a national pride in China which is surrounded by many magnificent buildings such as the Heavenly Gate, Monument of the People's Heroes, and the Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum. Walk through the square; you’ll enter in to the Forbidden City, which homes to 24 emperors from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. Known as the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world, Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987. The last stop of today’s tour is Summer Palace, called “Yiheyuan” in Chinese, which is one of the top tourist attractions in Beijing as well as the best preserved and largest imperial garden in China. The popular Peking Duck Banquet will be served in the evening.

Day 4: Explore Beijing
As a Chinese saying goes, “He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man”. Today you’ll experience the great man-made wonders - the Great Wall of China. Walk along the wall, appreciate the great engineering marvel and enjoy superb views as it spans across the lofty hills and high mountains. Then move to the Beijing Olympic Green and enjoy the appearance of National Stadium, called Bird’s Nest as well as the National Aquatics Center, dubbed Water Cubs. Next, transfer to Beijing Zoo to see the world-famous Giant Pandas, Golden Snub-nosed monkey, the Chinese Alligator, and the South China Tiger, etc. A traditional Chinese martial arts performance – “Legend of Kung Fu” will await you in the evening.

Day 5: Beijing to Xi'an
In the morning, take a rickshaw to ride through Hutongs, a maze of historic lanes with old single storey traditional courtyard houses. These narrow alleys are now fast disappearing as the urbanization accelerates. Then stroll around the exotic Lotus Flower Market to enjoy the beautiful landscape, taste the local snacks and find your satisfied souvenirs. In the afternoon, fly to Xi’an, a well-known ancient historical and cultural city. After enjoying dinner, you’ll experience some of the cultural diversity in China at the Great Mosque and Muslim Food Street.

Day 6: Explore Xi'an
Today’s activities include a visit to Terra Cotta Warriors and Bell Tower. The Terra Cotta Warriors, also called Terra Cotta Army, is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, first emperor of Chinese history, which has guarded Emperor Qin Shi Huang since 210 BC. Discovered accidentally in 1974, the Terracotta Army attracts numerous travelers from both home and abroad each year. Located in the city center of Xi’an, Bell Tower is a symbol of the city, which was constructed in 1384 during the early Ming Dynasty. Your dinner today will be the feast of the Imperial Dumpling Banquet, followed by a splendid Tang Dynasty Stage Show.

Day 7, Xi'an – Chongqing
This morning, visit another landmark of Xi’an – Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The pagoda stands in the Da Ci’en Temple and was built in the Tang Dynasty to house the Buddhist sutras brought back by Xuanzang from his epic journey to India. Then, tour the Ancient City Wall of Xi’an, one of the world’s oldest and most complete city defenses where you can see the ancient walls, gates, watchtowers and ramparts up close and enjoy a great view of the city. Then take a flight to Mountain City – Chongqing, which served as China's wartime capital during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945). Enjoy Chongqing Hot Pot dinner tonight and then board the President Prime cruise ship. The ship departs Chongqing in the late evening.

Day 8, Cruise on Yangtze
Yangtze River, the mother river of China, is a must see tourist attrition. Take a Yangtze River adventure; you’ll discover China is far more beautiful than what you expected. Today’s shore excursion is the Fengdu Ghost City where the devils live in accordance with Chinese legend. At the town, travelers can see the ancient buildings and various ghosts as well as experience the thrilling atmosphere. In the evening, join the Captain's Welcome Dinner Party.

Day 9, Cruise on Yangtze
Sail through Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. Qutang Gorge stretching eastward from White King Town to Daxi Town is the shortest and most dramatic of the Three Gorges while Wu Gorge is the most elegant one which winds over 25 miles from the estuary of Daning River to the Guandukou in Badong. Disembark at Wushan where you board small riverboat for a leisurely ride through Shennong Stream, another tributary of the Yangtze River where you’ll enjoy the crystal clear water, various karst caves, waterfalls and even the suspended coffin in the cliff. Sail through the 5-step Shiplock of the Three Gorge Dam.

Day 10, Yichang - Shanghai (American Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Disembark to visit the massive Three Gorges Dam Project, the world’s largest water conservancy project, which was first built in 1994 and has been completed in 2009. Travelers could get access to the top of the dam and enjoy a bird’s view of Yangtze River. Then sail through Xiling Gorge, the longest one of the Three Gorges. Disembark at Yichang, the terminus of our memorable Yangtze River Cruise. Board a flight to Shanghai finally.

Day 11, Shanghai (American Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Special Farewell Dinner)
Today you’ll visit Old Street, Nanjing Road, Shanghai Museum, Lujiazui Financial Area and Bund. Nanjing Road is a must see of China tour, which was known as one of the World’s Seven Great Roads in the 1930s. Shanghai Museum is a considered as a veritable treasure house of ancient Chinese art which collects over 120,000 precious items. The Bund, the landmark of Shanghai, is a waterfront of Shanghai and the riverside of Huangpu River. As China's economy continues to grow, the Bund will become increasingly a symbol of that financial influence. This center is so important that it has been featured in the novel "Empire of the Sun" by J.G. Ballard, which became a Steven Spielberg movie. In the evening enjoy a farewell dinner of Shanghai Cuisine after watching the world famous Acrobatic Show.

Day 12, Shanghai-Home OR Shanghai-Post-Trip Extension
Today you’ll pack up your belongings, new purchases, and memories. Board plane to your sweet home. Or, you can surrender to your longing to experience more of China and arrange a Post-trip Extension with additional cost.
