Day 1: Hometown to Beijing (In-flight Meal)

Day 2: Arrive in Beijing (In-flight Meal)
When you arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport, our guide will greet you and then transfer you to your luxurious accommodation. You’ll get your fist real taste of China.

Day 3: Explore Beijing
Start your day with an American breakfast to get a taste of the contrast between ancient and modern China. The first stop of today’s tour is Tiananmen Square, which got its name from the famous Tiananmen Gate (Gate of Heavenly Peace) and separates it from the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City served as the imperial palace for China for nearly 500 years (from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty). With almost 1,000 buildings and 9,000 rooms, the Forbidden City is considered as the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world. Then drive to Summer Palace, a favorite retreat for many of the emperors during the Qing Dynasty. You’ll finish today’s tour with an authentic Peking Duck Banquet, which will be prepared by master chef right in front of you, and it is served with pancakes, spring onions, and hosing or sweet bean sauce.

Day 4: Explore Beijing
Today you’ll explore Great Wall of China, one of the most famous tourist attractions in China. As a Chinese saying goes, “He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man”. Great Wall has been called one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world, and it runs about 5,500 miles through 150 different counties. Then, visit National Stadium, referred to as the “Bird’s Nest”, which was built for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. Subsequently, travel the nearby National Aquatics Center, which is sometimes known as the Water Cube, where U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps emerged as the Gold Medal Winner. Then our guide will take you to visit the animal world – Beijing Zoo where you can see the lovely giant pandas. In the evening, have a nice dinner before enjoying high level show - “Legend of Kung Fu, which has wowed and amazed audiences worldwide.

Day 5: Beijing to Xi'an
You’ll begin this day by traveling Hutongs with rickshaw, another Chinese treasure that is slowly disappearing. Hutongs are typical of the old neighborhoods of Beijing, which were formed by lines of Siheyuan where the old Beijing residents lived. The next stop is the exotic Lotus Flower Market. The lotus flower is an ancient Buddhist symbol of non-attachment to worldly things and sexual purity. You’ll be amazed by the truly beautiful lotus flowers and displays here. In the late afternoon, you’ll fly to Xi’an. After dinner, experience some of the cultural diversity in China at the Great Mosque and the Muslim Food Street.

Day 6: Explore Xi'an
According to UNESCO, the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses is the Eighth Wonder of the World. Today you’ll see about 8,000 unique life-size terra cotta soldiers, which were placed here to protect the Qin Shi Huang, the First Emperor of China in his afterlife. Then visit Bell Tower, a landmark of Xi’an, which is located in the center of the city. There will be a feast of the Imperial Dumpling Banquet followed by the famous Tang Dynasty Stage Show in the evening.

Day 7, Xi'an - Shanghai
Today, tour the Ancient City Wall of Xi’an, which is better preserved than the Great Wall of China. Bicycles will be available for you to ride and you’ll absorb unique ambiance of Xi'an. Take a flight to Shanghai, where you’ll visit the symbol of financial power in China - the Bund, which is akin to Manhattan's Wall Street.

Day 8, Shanghai – Suzhou – Shanghai
Today, you’ll tour Suzhou, the "Venice of the East", which is well known for its canals, stone bridges, and classic gardens. Explore the Master of Nets Garden, one of the four famous gardens in Suzhou. Then, visit a Buddhist Hanshan Temple, which was commemorated in the poem 'A Night Mooring near Maple Bridge.' Tour the Silk Spinning Factory to learn Chinese silk culture and visit the Suzhou Museum, designed by famous architect I.M. Pei.

Day 9, Shanghai
Today you’ll soak up the more commercial aspects on Old Street, Nanjing Road, and Lujiazui Financial Area and step back in time at the Shanghai Museum which houses more than 120,000 art collections. In the evening you’ll join the farewell dinner of Shanghai Cuisine and enjoy a splendid Acrobatic Show.

Day 10, Shanghai-Home OR Shanghai-Post-Trip Extension
Today you’ll board a flight to your home. Your amazing China trip ends. If you’d like to experience more of China, we can arrange a Post-trip Extension with additional cost.
