Day 1: Hometown to Beijing (In-flight Meal)

Day 2: Arrive in Beijing (In-flight Meal)
Upon arrival at Beijing, our guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to your luxurious hotel. The rest of the day is free for your leisure.

Day 3: Explore Beijing
Today, you’ll begin your fascinating China tour. Firstly, visit the Tiananmen Square, where you can see the Tiananmen Tower, Mao Zedong Memorial Hall and the Monument to the People’s Heroes. Subsequently, visit Forbidden City, China’s best preserved imperial palace and world’s largest ancient palatial structure, which is composed of 90 palaces, 980 buildings and 8,704 rooms. Then take a 40-minute car ride from the Forbidden City to the Summer Palace, which is the best preserved royal garden in Beijing. Ramble along the garden to enjoy the unique ancient style architectures and experience the summer resort of Chinese emperor yourself. You’ll finish today’s tour with a Peking Duck Banquet – one of the most popular dishes in China. The meal will be prepared by master chef right in front of you, and it is served with pancakes, spring onions, and hosing or sweet bean sauce.

Day 4: Explore Beijing
In the morning, you’ll explore the world-famous Great Wall of China. Great Wall has been called one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world, which stretches about 5,500 miles from Hushan Great Wall in the east to Jiayuguan Pass in the west. Then drive to the Beijing Olympic Green and enjoy the appearance of National Stadium, dubbed Bird’s Nest as well as the National Aquatics Center, known as Water Cube, which were built for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. Next, our guide will take you to visit the animal world – Beijing Zoo, where you could see the lovely giant pandas. In the evening, have a delicious dinner before enjoying the traditional Chinese martial arts performance – “Legend of Kung Fu.”

Day 5, Beijing – Chongqing
Today you’ll start the day with a trip to Hutongs, the ancient alleys in old Beijing. Take a rickshaw to ride through the narrow lanes to experience the traditional life style of old Beijing people. Then, take stroll along the Lotus Flower Market, where you’ll enjoy the beautiful lotus flowers and various local snacks. Take a flight to Chongqing. Upon arrival, ramble around the Ciqikou Ancient Town to experience the local residents’ traditional way of life. Tonight you’ll enjoy a typical Chongqing Hot Pot dinner.

Day 6, Chongqing – Yangtze River Cruise
In the morning, drive to the dock and board the Victoria Prince Cruise ship to enjoy your Yangtze River adventure. The cruise departs from Chongqing at 10 AM. Take a shore excursion at Fengdu Ghost City where you can learn about the Chinese vision of the afterlife. In the evening, join the Captain's Welcome Dinner Party.

Day 7, Yangtze River Cruise
Cruise through Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge successively. Qutang Gorge is the shortest and most dramatic one of the Three Gorges which is famous for its spectacular natural scenery as well as the rich cultural relics while Wu Gorge is well known for its 12 forest-covered peaks and quiet beauty with ever-changing scenery. Sail through the Shiplock of the new three gorges dam.

Day 8, Yangtze River Cruise
Disembark to visit the massive Three Gorges Dam Project in the morning, which is the world’s largest water conservancy project, measuring 606 feet high and 6,500 feet long. Then sail through Xiling Gorge, the longest one of the Three Gorges, which extends 47 miles from Xiang Xi to Yichang.

Day 9, Yangtze River Cruise
The cruise arrives in Wuhan in the afternoon; you disembark to visit Hubei Provincial Museum, which is one of the best-known museums in China, with a large amount of State-level historic and cultural relics. It has collected over 200,000 ancient cultural relics, including the Sword of Goujian, an ancient set of bronze bells and extensive artifacts from the tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng.

Day 10,Yangtze River Cruise
Today you’ll enjoy a full-day trip to Huangshan Mountain. Mt. Huangshan is a top tourist attraction in China, which is well known for its scenery, sunsets, peculiarly shaped granite peaks, pine trees, and views of the clouds from above. Besides, Huangshan is a frequent subject of traditional Chinese paintings and literature, as well as modern photography.

Today you’ll disembark in Nanjing, which served as the capital of China during several historical periods and is recognized as one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China. At city of Nanjing, tour Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum. Next, you'll visit the Temple of Confucius overlooking the Qinhuai River.

Day 13, Shanghai
Shanghai has evolved from fishing and textile town settled in the 5th century to a global power in finance, high technology and even fashion. Today you’ll explore this metropolis. Firstly visit the Old Street, an ideal place to discover what Shanghai was like in the old days. Then stroll along the Nanjing Road, the No.1 shopping street in China and ramble around Bund to enjoy different styles of architectures. Then, step back in time at the Shanghai Museum where there are more than 120,000 art exhibits from so many different eras. In the evening, enjoy the farewell dinner of Shanghai Cuisine and watch the world famous Acrobatic Show.

Day 14, Shanghai-Home OR Shanghai-Post-Trip Extension
